National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) Award winners

Ending off its 10th year, The National Small Business Chamber has announced South Africa's 'Top 20' for the 2018 South African Small Business Awards. These prestigious awards have gathered a diverse range of entries all with one thing in common, a driving entrepreneurial force.

The South African Small Business Awards recognises the tireless journey, hard work, outstanding achievements and vision of Small Business and Entrepreneurial Success. It is a celebration of the most outstanding businesses and the exceptional business people behind these successful and growing businesses.

3@Marion Guesthouse was awarded as a finalist in the overall Top 20 Entrepreneurs and walked away as overall winner of the National Tourism Award. We are extremely proud and honored to be mentioned among such inspirational finalists from all over the country. The judging panel looked at uniqueness, profitability and giving back to our industry and communities.

Lilizela Tourism Award national award winner

Congratulations to Valentino Meirotti, Famba Famba's Founder and Director, who won the National Lilizela Tourism Awards for Culture Guide on 17 November 2018 (this past Saturday). The sixth annual Lilizela Tourism Awards hosted over 800 finalists from the provincial Lilizela awards to celebrate the best of the best within the tourism industry.

It's the first time that the Tour guide category has been won by Gauteng.

Voortrekker Monument awarded best place to take out-of-towners

The Voortrekker Monument was announced as the winner of the Record's Best of Pretoria Readers' Choice Awards in the category "Best Place to take out-of-towners" during Record Newspaper's Award Ceremony that took place at Silver Lakes Golf Estate.

The historic Voortrekker Monument is known as one of the most prominent local landmarks as well as one of the very first buildings guests to the city see. It's filled with history, beautiful to look at and majestic in stature. When last have you been there?

Church Square revamp

The historic Church Square has had a major revamp after three years. The revamp has been welcomed by the public and informal traders.

The precinct keeps the old, history and original feel but complements it with a more modern style and feel, restoring Church Square to its glory days.

The new Church Square is already attracting several people to take selfies with the statue of Paul Kruger and his generals.
